12/20/07

Sure feels nice to be on break. It makes sleeping at night that much better when there are no assignments or exams hanging over your head. Or the thought that your alarm is scheduled to wake you up in the morning, and is that thing really going to wake me. All those thoughts take a toll. There isn't too much to update you all with. The house is in good hands. In my short extended stint here, I have cleaned the place to give us a new look once everyone returns in January. No I'm kidding. But I did make a slight change in the furniture and removed a TV. That removal allowed us a place to keep the cable box and dvd player so we aren't deciphering between all the wires in the corner. I think it looks good. Only other topic to bring up are the red hot Blazers. They're allowing us to believe again. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas as the next blog will come after the holiday. Enjoy yourself through Christmas because after that it's time to hit it hard for the upcoming season. This is the year for the Warriors. And yea, I do mean Lewis and Clark State. Signing off.

12/13&14/07

As requested by my saviors, one more blog is required despite the embarrassment. Thursday night's quick trip to del taco for a late night snack turned into a drive up to Wilsonville. Sasquatch and I left to get some food as mentioned, and I opted not to take my keys, but still lock the door. It only took a block for me to realize what that meant for the rest of the night. Thankfully Kev and Beard have huge hearts and agreed to meet me and Sasquatch in Wilsonville to give me a key to the house. I could not thank them enough for being true friends. That includes Sasquatch who gave up his Thursday night to drive me around. Hopefully the rest of the break goes a bit smoother. Signing off.

12/13/07

Despite another week away from the blog, there isn't a bundle of information to relate to the readers. Last Friday and Saturday, me and Chuck went to the men's basketball games and met up with Flakey and Sasquatch. The men lost Friday to a good Montana team, and then beat a terrible Walla Walla team on Saturday despite all efforts to blow it. It'll be nice to see the coach get over his power trip and start the best 5 he has. Some items aren't worth discipline. Interestingly, I don't think Chuck and I have regained trust with Ponch (Roger) as he mugged us both the entire second half and out to my car. Some good news coming out of the house is that Chuck is considering coming out of retirement to give us another pitcher. We'll see on the 7th if he shows up or not. Some quality movies have been watched recently, including the likes of Mystic River, Good Will Hunting, and Stepford Wives. Monday we held our much anticipated christmas party with snacks and a white elephant gift exchange. Things could have been better, but the teammates have no interest in doing anything outside of studying. Lame. Attendance was poor at best. Following the party, Chuck, Beard, Kev, and I went out bowling in a classic 2 on 2 matchup. My bowling slump continued, but Beard picked me up and we were able to walk out with two wins. The pins are still a little shaken up from Chuck's punishment he dishes them. Today marked the official end of finals week so things are starting to clear out around campus. The weight room is finally manageable to lift in. Now we are all able to turn our focus onto next semester with a fresh start in our classes and end the school year with a bang. Also today, Beard led Corban College to another shot at a title, but in his efforts to do so, I upset him in the heisman trophy race. The voters finally recognized talent. Last week was a sad day in SI as Rick Reilley wrote his last article prior to his move. Things do look good for SI though as the new back page writer had a nice article that should have excited Chuck. I just hope Chuck got over the front cover and took a look inside this weeks. As everything has wound down for the christmas break, it is a good time to kick back and open up a book to read for your own enjoyment. I know I will as the house is quiet with everyone heading their separate ways. Also a note from Nitro, this would be far more enjoyable if there was feedback/comments to the blog entries. Or not. I wish everyone a safe drive back home and enjoy. Signing off.

12/06/07

It's been about a week's absence so there's a host of items to talk about. Since last week we have watched numerous movies in this house. Kev has a collection of manly movies so we watched A Walk to Remember and The Notebook on back to back nights. We turned it up a knotch with Transformers the following night. A couple of days ago, Kev and I watched The Wedding Planner and the family watched Fever Pitch last night. Movie marathon will conclude tonight and tomorrow night with Superbad and I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. We decided to begin with some real tear jerkers and conclude with a couple comedies. Otherwise this week started off bad. Monday we lost our quarterfinals volleyball match that knocked us out of the tournament. Sad night around the house. We got over the loss Tuesday with watching half of the girls basketball game. Now that was some ugly basketball. Flakey performed well at the half-time festivities with knocking off Tool (Tyler Dean) in a 3-point shootout. Flakey has held true to his name lately with agreeing to email me his homework, but deciding later that night not to do it. Left me in a bit of a bind come class time. To follow that up, Flakey opted not to attend our Christmas gathering following an earlier commitment to be there. That's why we named him what we did. Yesterday, Pasta, Beard, and I went out to the Ram for dinner and to watch the WSU-Gonzaga game. The Cougars pulled out a tough win with some help from poor 'Zags shooting. And if you are ever at the Ram, do not order their Ram sirloin steak. Not worth putting their name on it. Beard assures you that the Monterey Chicken sandwich is worth ordering though. Otherwise it was a real boring day yesterday. One of the few times I wished I had homework. Today was another big dog breakfast followed by a sighting of a possible ant infestation. Beard and Kev have a bad habit of not cleaning their dishes, which creates a heavenly place for ants to feast. Our search for ant killer led us astray to Big Lots, which is a scary scary place. Other news, we got our uniforms today, and are looking forward to Christmas sweater chapel tomorrow. Until another time. Signing off.

11/30/07

Courtesy of the boys, a friday night blog is much needed. Against popular belief, tonight me, beard, kev, and chuck are all sitting around in the living room watching Sweet Home Alabama. I know this house is labeled otherwise, which is why the boys wanted the readers to know what really goes on here. In other news, there was a women's basketball game earlier on this week that we showed up to 30 minutes early to see the complete stretching and warmups. No, actually Beard was mistaken and thought the game started at 7. So to kill time, we sat in my car and listened to Taylor Swift work her magic. Wednesday night the baseball team had a basketball night where everyone was split up into their class. Seniors dominated because Phiten is simply too tough to guard. A triple team was not enough. Unstoppable. Biggest trash talker goes to Goat (Coach Mayben). Beard wanted you all to know that he was voted sixth-man by Phiten. Thursday was a typical morning with big dog breakfast prepared by Chuck this time. That afternoon me, Sasquatch, and Beard went out looking for christmas sweaters to wear for the last chapel prior to leaving for the semester break. We struck out at value village, but goodwill treated us well. Kev's sweater is legit, keep an eye out for kitty cats. Thursday night dinner was spaghetti prepared by pasta followed by IM volleyball. It was a struggle, but we squeezed out two wins to assure us of a playoff spot in hopes of avenging our championship loss last year. Also that night, Chuck completed a 35 page paper on Spain. In looking ahead, the gameshowdown will be the main attraction Sunday with all eyes on FB. The family wanted all the readers to look for details on an upcoming white elephant christmas dinner. Signing off.

It's been a while, but Beard has urged me to post with news regarding the apple cup. Enough is said right there. There's always next year. The only news post-thanksgiving is that Chuck brought back a new indoor nerf football for routs through the hallways. The ball is so new that the surface is slick causing more incomplete passes than completions. It's just a matter of getting used to it though. The family went on a wal-mart run last night so that Beard and Kev could pick up some gloves for the house. When the thermostat is set to 50 degrees, it doesn't leave a very comfortable space to live in. Part of the family has dinner already brewing with a chicken & dumplings soup thing in the crock pot. Tacos are on the horizon for others. In other news, Chuck is at Western Oregon on a field trip experiencing a true science lab. Lucky him. If you get SI, I would recommend reading the Rick Reilly article. Lastly, this week is huge in the IM volleyball world. A berth into the playoffs is on the line to avenge our only loss from a forfeit. Take care. Signing off.

Hopefully everyone had a happy thanksgiving and put on a few solid pounds. Enjoy the days off because when we get back, you all know a few extra routs will be ran to burn off the unnecessary poundage added. The house is empty with just the recycling and garbage cans outside showing any life. Kev's car is manning the driveway and an apple pie from Pasta is watching guard of the house. That's right, there will be desert for us all when we return. I have to give a shout out to Chuck for his Pack played well again today. Sets up a showdown next weeekend with the 'Boys. Big time game this weekend with WSU at UW. That game should give the fridge rights back to my magnet. Then husky nation will dominate both the living room and kitchen. I should take a step back and inform the readers about last weekend. Me, Beard, Kev, and Flakey drove out to Pullman for the oregon state-washington state game. Long drive, boring and rainy game, a good nights sleep, and a long drive concluded the trip. Seriously though, it was worth it. Mike Riley is the man. Haven't washed my right hand since. I wish everyone a safe drive back and look forward to see you all. Signing off.

11/15/07

It's a sad sad week. A dismissal has caused havoc to the baseball team. Regardless, we are all pushing ahead. Not much news around the house. There will be more news following a harrassment education training course tomorrow. Otherwise, it was another big dog breakfast this morning. The Jimmy Dean skillet was prepared well by Kev. I think that's all the news. Signing off.

11/08/07

To satisfy the readers, I have decided to continue posting. It's been a big week so far. Lots of big news not safe to share, and lots of big news to share. The food schedule this week has been amazing. Started it off with a big dog breakfast tuesday morning, followed by spaghetti, and concluded with elky joes. Wednesday was just a normal breakfast where I got a buzzer out of my honey nut cheeriors. I was able to buzz both Beard and Kev! Lunch Wednesday was leftovers in which Phiten (emery) and Flakey (Warner) came to visit. Dinner consisted of beef strogenoff prepared by Kev with some help by Beard. Thursday morning was another big dog breakfast. For future meals today we have elk, donated by our new roomie for the week, Chewey (Balbas).
Tuesday we got some conditioning in for baseball by playing street football. I was all-time qb and delivered dimes all day. There is another conditioning session scheduled for 4:30 today. Because the weight room is off limits to some, we (me, Chewey, and Sasquatch (McGraw)) were able to get a one week trial membership at The Citadel (The Courthouse Athletic Club). The place is what a weightroom should look like. There we play some racquetball as well, where Sasquatch dominates. I just wish he took some of that fire into baseball with him. We also received a new weight lifting program for the rest of the fall and got a new beenie.
IM volleyball has just begun and tonight was supposed to be the match of the year, but some key members of our squad will be MIA. Instead I thnk a forfeit may be in the works. In the latest season played of NCAA football, the Corban College Warriors brought home the national title trophy. Despite everybody being seniors, we have all returns for another four years to continue what we built. Beard won the heisman that year to add to his two other heismen trophies in his case. I was a runner up in two of the four years.
Not as exciting, but I did get a new desk to dock my computer at. Makes it much easier to focus when I don't have the fam wanting to run routs through the kitchen and hallways. For some reason I am the only one who can deliver a pass on time and accurately. Some other news Beard wanted to be released is that our sweatshirts came in. Noting else to say about that. That's all the news you have missed and so desperately wanted. See you all Monday. Signing off.

Still big news. It's about to break, but precautions are being taken in the meantime to notify all family members involved.

10/30/07 #2

Today was our first trip to Costco as a house. Oh wait. I'm jumping ahead. Earlier today Chuck came home with his much anticipated pre-ordered Eagles CD. He was getting worried that it wasn't going to arrive on time and that he was going to have to buy it from Wal-Mart instead. Then we went to Costco where I wasn't too thrilled. The selection wasn't the best and prices, despite being in bulk, weren't all that great. We all got a few items though, and the trip was an experience nonetheless. When we got back, my roast and vegetables were done cooking in the crockpot. It was a bit bland, but an easy and decent meal for us all. This evening was full of homework and a little hitting. Chuck had the Mr. VG contest to attend and judge. Not much is going on in the house right now. Nitro-tech is the new supplement that we're all trying to choke down. You have to get it down though because the stuff is a miracle worker. Maybe more will be going on tomorrow and throughout the rest of the week. Signing off.

10/30/07

This morning started out crappy. I got up and decided to make some french toast to spoil myself. I got the batter prepared and the stove on and realized I didn't have any bread. So I decided to make the trip to WINCO to pick up some bread and cinnamon so I could fulfill my breakfast dreams this morning. Things didn't go too smooth from there though. I started to make my french toast, but our pans are terrible. Apparently teflon wasn't a hit when Rondie acquired these pots and pans. So the french toast stuck to the pan despite soaking it with vegetable oil. Not too happy about that. Thankfully Kev has a panini machine so I turned that on and cooked my french toast on that which is teflon coated. Upon finishing my first one, I went to grab the margerine to butter it up before putting syrup on it, but Kev used up all my butter and didn't replace it. This time I wasn't willing to make a second trip to winco so I just went with syrup this morning. My breakfast was topped off with some hot cocoa and satisfied my stomach.
Everyone else this morning was just sitting around. I'll take this time to inform you who all I live with. We have Kev (Kyle), Beard (Rondie), Chuck (Clifford), and Pasta (Owen). We all live in Beard and Kev's house. Anyway, Kev was up watching youtube videos when I got up, and Cliffy was already up and out for his lab day. Pasta was on his way out to class and Beard was still sleeping. Not much has changed other than everyone but me and Pasta are home. All others are at class right now educating themselves. Pasta is listening to music back in our room, and I am working on a take home test. That's all i have right now. I will update you folks later with changes to our house's activities. Signing off.

This is a new journey in my life. The idea popped up when everybody thought I was scheming. The idea was genius to open up a blog. I am going to update you all three times a week as to how life is lived here in the Rondie house. Remain on the edge of your seat as the information will blow you away.
