Due to popular demand, I must edit my previous post and add more detailed information now that it is official. By official, I mean it's listed on facebook, so it must be official. Oh and Chuck, you were right. It is the apple tree girl. I was misinformed last spring about who the apple tree was with. I should have answered my own question when I told you to think green. Anyway, if you haven't seen, Kev is now listed in a relationship with Think Green (Amber). The last few days she has spent numerous hours at the house and with Kev, and has got him out of the house more in those few days than the entire semester combined. Good for Kev. He has also appeared to be in a better mood and just nicer overall. What a joy! Also, this just in, but Boomer is now listed in a relationship as well. There is still no name listed, so as Dean noted, "Prove it!" I'm sure there will be more details to come relating to that change in facebook status. In other news, we did receive a decent snowfall yesterday evening that caused havoc on the roadway. Now it looks as though things iced over a bit. Oh well, just bundle up with some cocoa next to a warm fire and things don't get much better than that. 'Til next time, don't do something I wouldn't do. Signing off.

12/13/08

OK way too much has happened to let the blog go unwritten. Just like a great desert, I will hold off on the best news for last. To begin with, it is the end of the fall semester. This last Friday was the conclusion of finals week so we are all enjoying a nice break, and a well-deserved break I might add. Everybody did well in their classes, and now the Dealer is down to her final semester before receiving her Health Science degree as a Mighty Warrior at Corban College. Oh and Chuck, the ever popular Nitro Stats work was once again requested! I hope that is passed down for generations to come. Also relating to academics, it appears as though "Baby Face" (Winsor) will be eligible for the upcoming baseball season. It's been a long time coming, and I'll be honest when I say that I am surprised he made it. But very happy. I can't write a blog without mentioning the latest orange sale fundraiser. Coach decided to go ahead and pre-order boxes assuming every player will sell 25 boxes. So long story short, Kev, Schmidt, and I have 30+ boxes of citrus to sell. We got 5 sold the first night, 11 the next, and a couple today. So if you want a box of citrus, 20 lbs for $20, just give Nitro a call. An important upgrade was made to the house that I need to bring up. Well it's not really an upgrade, but a rejuvination of an already existent form of cheap heat. That's right, a fireplace. We purchased a chimney sweeping brush and cleaned out the chimney so we can burn fires and try to keep the place above freezing. Yes I am talking about keeping the inside of the house above freezing. We are well on our way. OK OK the biggest news of the year. As mentioned earlier about a lady hanging out with Kev, there have been some dramatic advancements made by this lady in the recent week. Just when I thought Kev was not all that interested, this lady stays over and watches movies with him until 5 am. The next night it's movies until....well I don't really know because nobody was up to document the actual time she left. This friendship is well on its way to be something special. And Chuck, an apple tree was a good guess, but I think it is incorrect. Think green. That's all I can hint your way. Until I have Kev's permission, this lady will remain anonymous. All the important information aside, the forecast is calling for snow tonight and into tomorrow with lows next week dipping down into the teens. I hope everyone stays warm and enjoys the break as well as the upcoming holiday season. Take care and be safe. Signing off.

Welcome back to my world. This entry is for breaking news in the house. There is some scheming going on and it is not me this time around. The scheming is being done by none other than Kev. Shocking news because of his hermit status since coming to Corban. For those who thought last year was bad, he has spent twice as much time back in his own bedroom this year. It is understandable though with the situation with our new roommate. He is not the type who you want to sit in the living room with and watch TV. Just a different guy. But all that extra time on his own has led to some developing news. It appears that those hours spent in there have led to some scheming. Some scheming on the part of a lady too. That's right. Tonight I was sitting in my bedroom watching some tv and heard a ladies voice coming from the living room. Knowing that Boomer had just got home, I figured he must have brought his attempted lady friend back home with him. But then Boomer walked down the hallway and yelled into Kev's room that a particular lady was here for him. The name rang a bell and shocked those in attendance of my tv session. Whether it is to be considered a date or not, dinner at the pita pit is not something that the average Joe is invited to. Though he did not drive, it is still a shocking development in the house. I will attempt to keep all my reader's up to date of this breaking news as it is still developing. Otherwise there is nothing more to update with. Another election has come and gone, and we will see how this presidency goes. Obviously there are some ups and downs to all candidates, but in the end, a president is not out there to ruin a country. Yes some policies are a bit off base, but in the end he only has so much power. We can just keep doing what we do and see how things shake up. As we approach the end of the work week, I wish everyone a happy weekend. Get out and enjoy the colors of fall. They only last so long. 'Til next time, be safe and be smart. It's not all about yourself. Signing off.

It is about that time. I have received some requests for a new post, and have received some hints as to it having been a while on here. So to the request of my readers, here goes nothing. We are a couple of months into classes now, and things are starting to shape up around the house. Although quieter than last year, there is so much news. First and foremost, there is a change to IM. No he is not evicted, but there is a name change. IM will now be referred to as Bum. Bum is just that too. You can't offer up free food (or anything for that matter) without expecting there to be anything left. Spaghetti...forget about it. And boy can he pack the food in. Oh well though. I mean we can't expect everyone who lives in that room to cook like Chuck. Also, we all learned that it is not Mr. Ron who is the homeowner, but rather Kev. Bum is going a month strong without light in his room while he waits for Kev to buy him a new light bulb. Oh, I almost forgot. Bum's is over a month now without replacing the toilet paper in his bathroom. Yes, we are raising those types of questions too. Must be using the napkins from Carl's Jr. OK enough about Bum. As for the team, still a work in progress with some bright spots. Hopefully the kinks will be worked out by spring. Coming up in a few days is the annual alumni game, and there are all hopes of Chuck, Pasta, and Beard making a reunion trip. Other than that, things are quiet. Classes are going smoothly for everyone. Simply looking forward to the Thanksgiving holiday and break from school. And if you get bored of my writing style, head over to triplecrownplayas.blogspot.com to see what the ladies have to offer. 'Til next time, be safe. Signing off.

Well we continue to wind down the summer towards the start of, yes I'm going to say it, SCHOOL! It's unfortunate but think of it this way, at least we get a summer break. Unless you teach, the real world boss isn't going to let you take 3 months off during the summer to regenerate yourself for the fall. Anyway this entry is to speak of how ecstatic Chuck must be right now. I think we all remember the day of mourning on Brett's retirement announcement, but things have turned 180 degrees. Yes Chuck, you can now make your heralded trip to Green Bay and watch your beloved Packers and Brett at legendary Lambeau Field. That is if they don't trade him. We will continue to let this saga play out during training camp. In other news, the seaside beach volleyball tournament is less than a week away. With over a 100 courts and 1000 competitors, it will surely be a great time. If you aren't in seaside this weekend, GET THERE! It will not disappoint. Other than that, I look forward to everyone's arrival back to school in a few weeks for a possible move-in bbq? I don't know. 'Til next time, enjoy yourself. Signing off.

Well today was a huge day for Nitro. And I'm not talking about building my biceps! I am now a proud member of COSCTO. That's right, I now possess my personal membership card with my picture on the back. There will be no more begging Beard to take us to Costco. I'm really excited for the boxed apples and goofy milk jugs. In other news, a couple of days ago a box with my name on it was waiting for me in the mailbox. When I opened it, another box reading Oakley all over it was inside. Inside that box was a brand new pair of Oakley Gascans courtesy of the Dealer's pure generosity. Just like the saying, all good things have to come to an end. I am speaking of the Bole's. They have had a long and successful run, but the Gascans have made them obsolete. Now I didn't say retired, just obsolete! Much like Favre, if there is an "itch", there may be a return. I don't think so though. Now with the house full, Boomer being the final addition, everything is set to go once it's move in time again. When asked what Boomer can add to the house, his words were, "I have a very very comfortable couch and a good tv and a positive attitude!" That's what we want to hear. Until next time, be safe and enjoy the summer. Signing off.

07/08/08

As we pass the halfway mark for the summer break, it is time for a summertime blog entry. As for your host, I have mainly been busy with work. The days are simple and repetitive week after week. They go something like this…5:35 wake-up call, 7:00 start work, 3:30 leave work, lift weights, eat dinner, a couple of chores, talk to the Dealer, hit the sack around 9:30. Get up the next morning and do it all over again. And yes the Dealer and I see each other a couple of times a month, which is good. I have made several fun trips down to Coos Bay and the “Farm”!!!, and I am sure there will be more before the summer is over. In fact, the Dealer was just up for the extended 4th of July weekend, which was a lot of fun. Other than that, the summer weather is in full gear finally with clear skies and highs in the 90’s. Yes you know it, bbq’s and swimming. Oh wait, I don’t have a pool. But I do bbq! Not too sure what’s going on down at the house right now, but I’m sure Beard is making some trips to maintain the yard and house for when we all return. Speaking of the house, the roster is just about filled out for the ’08-’09 school year. Beard, Kev, IM (Keith Wery), and myself are locked in. IM is taking over for Chuck, who has left us, and word has it that he will be a good fit. Although nobody could fill the shoes Chuck left behind. The other open slot is in the room with me. Yes Pasta has moved on and is not returning to the house. In fact his departure may include Corban College as well. He remains undecided whether to return or finish elsewhere with him leaning more towards elsewhere. We will all be sad, but must move on. Four are on the potentials list to replace Pasta, but only one has received an invite. That one is none other than Boomer (Taylor Wyatt). We’ll see who ends up being my roommate. I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer vacation and I look forward to a bbq reunion once we all return. Dress code required…JERSEYS! Until next time…signing off.

05/09/08

I apologize for taking time off of the blog. It's been a long few months. Baseball has occupied so much time with road trips all through April, and then try to find time for homework in between. It's tough. Anyway, it is that time of the year again when everyone heads back home. Sad and depressing, but you have to expect it every year. Chuck was the first to depart from the house following graduation. We were all blessed with meeting his parents, and I must say that it was worth the hype. They are two very nice people. No wonder Chuck turned out the way he did when he had those two raising him. I think I can speak for all the roommates when I say we will all miss Chuck. Everything that he brought to the atmosphere of the house could not be replaced. The next to depart was Pasta. He had everything cleared out in about a day, which was impressive. It was a pleasure to share a room with him. So many guys could destroy a room and leave crap everywhere, but Pasta kept the room in order and easy to walk through. His humor and insight will be missed. Hopefully we can get him back for another year. Kev and Beard both departed together following Pasta. A lot of cleaning was done the day they took off, but none of which occurred in their bedroom. It is still a disaster! Beard is still undecided whether or not he will return for another year at Corban College. Well he himself is undecided, but we all know he's coming back. You can't turn down another year of baseball eligibility. Especially when your season is cut short due to a break. Kev and his awkwardness will be back next year for sure. His pride and joy, the apple tree, was indeed watered in his absence. So if it dies over the summer, you can't blame it on me. I did my part. I was the last to leave the house and left it in good hands. I feel as though the inside is looking real sharp and clean for when we return in August. I must say that I had a great time living in the house this year, and we are still looking for roommates for next year. So if you are interested, contact Kev for details. I hope you all have a great summer, and I will see some of you in the NABA League. Signing off.

03/02/08

So much material to update you all with. I believe there was one update from the California trip, but since then it was a long trip back from the Bay Area. A stop in Medford was required to wait for the Softball team to get in. That trip included a dinner at the Olive Garden with Beard and Kev, while the rest of the team twiddled their thumbs at the bowling alley. The rest of the evening was filled with nothing except for unnecessary stops from Medford to Salem that left Kev furious with complaints. The complaints were legit though. We were all tired and craving our own bed. Enough of the California trip though. Sticking with baseball though, last week was the Central Washington double header that apparently included some hecklers down the line heckling Beard and the rest of the Warriors all game long. Also included in that game was an ejection by Goat. That trip concluded with two more losses on the season. Then to top off baseball was the UBC series this last weekend. That also included an ejection, this time from Sasquatch. And once again, two more unfortunate losses on the season. Concluding that series, a certain individual has been charged by the house with one count of public deuchebaggery. Due to confidentiality, the name is to be withheld. In other news, baking has been important around the house. The desert menu includes chocolate and yellow cakes as well homemade brownies and ice cream. Jealous? I think I smell a yellow cake right now. Also worth mentioning is that Beard and I have dropped our last two bowling matches since the last blog update. The good news is that we still have yet to be swept. We manage to pull out a win in one of the three games played. During the Central Washington series, some individuals were unable to make the trip so we instead had a BBQ with chicken breasts and hamburgers. One sour guest spoiled the entire enjoyment of a BBQ. Bouncing back to baseball for one more update. Lanky (Braun) is back to give us some much needed help on the mound and did so against UBC despite taking the loss. As far as school goes, Beard, Lanky, and I have had a couple of good days in Psychology as we watched a movie on the US hockey team defeating the Russians, and spent a day or two discussing how to get lights on the baseball diamond. Following the Central Washington weekend, a couple roommates want me to note that Monday, which was supposed to be an off-day, was instead a work day to clean up the field. I already had a couple of off days. I now have my mentoring under control after a couple of meetings with FB. Speaking of FB, I was able to make a return to the diamond this last Friday against UBC. Coincidentally enough, FB was the one to say the prayer before the game. That marked a new chapter for me, and hopefully things will continue to move upward. For the UBC series, we broke out the new white uniforms. They look good, but did not get us a W. Can't blame the uniforms though. We also have a new addition to the house and one exit. The drier broke down so Beard and Kev's parents picked up a new drier and replaced the old one. It is a solid upgrade to the laundry/bathroom. Aside from that, the only other news is Cliffy de-activating his facebook. We will all see how long that lasts! Until the next time, have a good week. Signing off.

02/15/08

To all back at home, Chuck, etc., we miss you and look forward to returning to the great confines. There will an update of greater magnitude soon. I felt bad for not updating the readers on the regular Thursday so I had to get something out there in the meantime. I will say that the Corban College Warriors are a staggering 1-0 on the season following a 4-3 victory over the unranked Simpson Red Hawks behind Phiten's solid outing on the mound. More to come. Signing off.

01/07/08

Plenty of news to update you all with this week beginning with as early as last Friday. That evening was supposed to be the big merge between the two "non-social households", but it turned out to be an awkward situation that wound up with a non-merge for movie night. Instead the half remaining at the house watched the rest of the blazer game and departed to get Dairy Queen, which ended up in a mass calorie count. Don't fool yourself to think anything at DQ is healthy. Let alone the peanut buster parfait. All this occurred following the basketball game that ended with a game winning buzzer beater, that can now be viewed all over youtube. The much anticipated season debut for the baseball team resulted in a cancellation and allowed some members of the house to catch the men's basketball game that night. That however ended in an overtime loss. It is worth noting that I was MIA Saturday. Over the weekend, Chuck wound up going home with Beard and Kev to hang out in Clackamas and watch the Super Bowl with them. That left the house quiet with only the Rangers keeping watch. In case you missed it, the Super Bowl was as advertised. Rumor in the house is that Chuck talked himself out of his love interest. That's all there is to say about that. Tuesday was another tough day at the bowling alley for Beard and I. We dropped our second straight match, this time to a team of girls. 0-2 will be a tough hole to dig ourselves out of. This last week our baseball shorts finally came in. My personal review is that they are OK. This year was tough with sizes. I still haven't got a size I ordered. We are all still waiting for the XL sweatpants to come in so we can trade our undersized Larges in for something that will fit. Also worth updating is the peeping tom situation. Roles reversed this week as Chuck walked in on Kev for a sneak peak. Wasn't too thrilled with what he saw. To my surprise, Kev brought in my Starbucks travel mug that was in his car for much of the school year. The next morning I was so excited to use it when I realized it was no longer on the counter where Kev left it. That resulted in a false accusation of Kev re-taking my mug when it was really Chuck who wanted to experience all the mug has to offer. Yesterday our baseball bio's and pics were finally put online. Might be worth checking out as a few are truly "something else". Also I will update you all with my new supplement. I decided to move on and this time I went with Sasquatch and the Weight Gainer 2200. It is much cheaper than any other product at GNC. Following my first tub, I will write a review. I should also inform you that Kev baked a chocolate cake that is incredible. In the event you haven't been to WINCO lately, the cereal aisle is packed with .98 cent cheeriors. And I am not talking about the small boxes either. The price was so good, Kev had to pick up a couple of boxes, which put together with all of my cereal and Beard's, and that equals our very own cereal aisle on top of our kitchen table. This just in...an email was received regarding mentoring. Details will be included once the situation is settled. Looking ahead, the baseball team hopes to open up the season Saturday at Puget Sound, but the weather looks like it will deter another season opener. Things may not open until the Cali trip next week. Hope all else is well and wishing you all a good weekend. Signing off.

01/31/08

A full week's worth of news to update. To start things off, there is a peeping tom in the house. It is reported that Kev no longer knocks when entering the bathroom. It doesn't ring a bell that if the door is closed, someone might be in there. Chuck found this out the hard way while standing in front of the toilet. No shame on the part of Kev though. The recent bout with snow (slush) caused a snow day on Monday and a two hour delay on Wednesday. Neither of which were worthy. Because of my time spent away from the house, Kev is opening up suspicion that I am stashing drugs in the freezer and selling them while I'm out. You have to love his creativeness to come up with a theory of that magnitude. Last weekend it must be mentioned that Pasta stuck around and cleaned/organized the entire house. It didn't last long though because Sunday night Beard and Kev reported back home and things were once again disorganized with dishes in ever corner. Beard wanted me to mention Industrial/Organization Psych class last Friday. Dubbed as the biggest waste of time EVER. For those who experienced know what he is talking about. I fortunately slept through that one. Tuesday, Beard and I had our first bowling match of the semester and did not pull out a win. We will look forward to that first win next week though. I also need to update those who read last week's entry as Kev left his lights on and resulted in a dead battery at school. He did end up getting it jumped later and returned home safely. On the snow day Monday, it was an afternoon out to go see 27 Dresses, which was an OK movie. Not the greatest of reviews from the roommates, but a good one to see on DVD. Also Monday afternoon, the Big Lebowski was viewed at the house with a guest. Speaking of movies, it should be mentioned that some are stoked about the upcoming movie night Friday to merge two "nonsocial families". Still awaiting confirmation, but the menu sounded amazing. To Chuck's delight, Smooth Operator (Eli Conlee) was named apart of the Heart of Corban family recently released. I am disappointed as I really thought I had a chance. Looking ahead, we have the Super Bowl Sunday, but it appears half the house will be heading home to view it in the newly connected HD. I hope everyone has a good weekend. Signing off.

01/24/08

It's that time of the week again. Some real fascinating events occurred this past week. I went out and picked up a comforter to remain solely on the couch so we/I can at least remain somewhat warm in the living space of the house. So far, it is a big hit with already several naps aided by the comforter. Bones wanted me to mention that he dropped in for a day over the break and viewed the magnanimous campus of Corban College. The Cougs have finished off the first season with a perfect 27-0 season including an 85-6 win over Stanford. Now it's on to the championship game to bring Pullman their first ever national championship. In one of the last regular season games, Beard received a triple-double, which was thought to be impossible per Kev. On to some more interesting news, the other day we had a solid trio going with Kev and Beard singing a duet of Amazing Grace with your's truly on back-up. Yes, it was as bad as you imagine. To top it off, last night Kev and Beard were belting out random hymns in bed that kept all the roommates up. It's tough to keep Kev's voice contained just to his room. Also last night was night chapel, which had great reviews from those who went. I can't forget to mention that Beard and I posted equal 186 scores Tuesday at the Bowling alley, which is really going to hurt us in the long run. Today Kev continued to be Kev and left his lights on after arriving on campus for his 8:00 class. At least he has a good parking spot. That's all there is to know from the house. Have a good rest of the week and weekend. Stay warm. Signing off.

01/20/08

OK OK. I have received all sorts of flack for the much anticipated post following the long drought. However, it is tough to jump right back into posting and be in mid-season form. So I failed to mention some things. Upon the return of Kev last weekend, he brought with him Mortal Combat. Stupid game, but Kev loves it and dominates with Onaga. "Onaga Wins." The other game Kev and Beard brought back was NCAA Basketball '07. That called for a new dynasty in a new game with the Cougs from Washington State. Also in the news was a family/house outing to the campus of Salem's finest, Willamette University. Pasta is taking a history course there and wanted to check out the campus and where his class will be held. Overall review is a nice "actual" college campus. Back inside the house there are some new things regarding protein shakes. Chuck ordered some cancer patient shake that is more of a meal replacement to help put some weight on. Chuck's review on the product is that it tastes great. You will all benefit from the effects of this shake. On this same topic, I brought back a Hershey's chocolate milk battery operated stirring cup. This helps mix my shakes so I can make and drink them within 30 minutes. And this cup also makes stirring obsolete, which is a blessing to all the roommates. No more cling clang. A new addition to the house is a candy bucket usually consisting of peppermint patties and then a variety of others. Some news regarding myself include coming home late one night to Kev opening the front door just as I approached leaving Kev to clench his fist and prepare to knock me out. It wasn't the kind gesture I had thought in opening the door for me, but I understand it if I scared him. Other news includes virtually a citizens arrest on my part. I was a witness to a hit and run accident Friday evening so I decided to chase after the vehicle that ran. I was able to get the plate numbers and report them to the police. Later on that evening I received a call to verify the information I gave and also to let me know I was a huge help in them catching the car. I'm still waiting for my medal of honor. I'm sure it's in the mail. I hope this settles everyone's upset stomach for a lack of information. Take care. Signing off.

01/17/08

I'm back! I apologize for such a long break from the blog. Not much to update you all with though. Everybody is back in class and getting back into a weekly routine. Couple classes with baseball practices and you have one full day in the cold. Speaking of cold, our place is incredibly freezing. I thought 55 was cold during the fall, but now in the mornings we are down to a balmy 43 or so. It's beyond just seeing your breath. Back to classes though. Beard and I got into an industrial/organizational psychology class. I've never been in a class with a more nutjob instructor. Couldn't waste 50 minutes of my life monday, wednesday, and friday much more than I do in that psych class. We're in a bit of a bind trying to schedule big dog breakfasts this spring because everybody is on conflicting schedules. It's sad, but we will all move on and work something out to bring it back for a reunion. On the food subject, Chuck purchased a bread machine which is spitting out amazing things. Makes the olive garden breadsticks taste like cardboard. Lastly the pac-10 has started conference play and the blazers continue their hot play despite dropping 2 of their last 3. Hold our faith though because the playoffs would not be complete without them.
