My first post of the year 2010! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years. Things should be winding down a bit now and getting more back to normal. I have now gone back to school, this time at Portland State, to finish my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. I will have to go for three quarters and finish this July. It should go quickly, and I can't wait to be done. More than anything, I'm just excited to have a place to lift weights again. And that means back on the Cell-tech and whey. Aside from that, the big hit over the last few weeks has been in the sports field. I have just one gripe though...the Fiesta Bowl.
What we know...BSU and TCU dominate their conference. BSU and TCU occasionally play and beat BCS conference teams.
What we don't know...BSU and TCU can compete and beat the best teams in the nation.
So then why put them in the same bowl to play each other when we could settle the dispute and watch them play two top teams in the country. The Fiesta bowl gave us nothing other than Boise State beat Texas Christian. We still have no idea whether or not those two teams can really compete with the Florida's, Alabama's, and the Texas' for a national title. The bowl selection committee ruined a perfect opportunity to either A) prove BSU and TCU are legit or B) BSU and TCU are really good teams in a weaker conference. It just seems like a cop-out to me.
Wishing everyone the best.
Signing off.
